Be smart, play brilliant, and master craps the correct way!
Dice and dice games date all the way back to the Middle Eastern Crusades, but current craps is just about a century old. Current craps evolved from the ancient English game referred to as Hazard. Nobody knows for certain the beginnings of the game, although Hazard is believed to have been invented by the Anglo, Sir William of Tyre, sometime in the twelfth century. It’s supposed that Sir William’s soldiers enjoyed Hazard through a siege on the castle Hazarth in 1125 AD. The name Hazard was gotten from the citadel’s name.
Early French colonists imported the game Hazard to Acadia. In the 18th century, when exiled by the British, the French relocated south and settled in the south of Louisiana where they at a later time became known as Cajuns. When they fled Acadia, they took their favored game, Hazard, with them. The Cajuns broke down the game and made it fair mathematically. It is believed that the Cajuns adjusted the title to craps, which was gotten from the name of the non-winning throw of two in the game of Hazard, referred to as "crabs."
From Louisiana, the game extended to the Mississippi barges and across the country. A good many acknowledge the dice builder John H. Winn as the creator of modern craps. In 1907, Winn created the modern craps setup. He put in place the Don’t Pass line so gamblers can wager on the dice to not win. Afterwords, he designed the boxes for Place bets and put in place the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
